Columbia Lake Provincial Park is located at the north end of Columbia Lake, and is adjacent to a wildlife management area (in yellow) and ecological reserves that protect large and contiguous natural areas that help maintain the biodiversity associated with the wetland and grassland habitats of the Headwaters.

The proposed resort by Fairmont Hot Springs Resort (FHSR) on Lot 48 is located in red on the map beneath the green marking the Columbia Lake Provincial Park.
The resort would be surrounded by a Provincial Park, Wildlife Management Area, and Ecological Reserves. The proposed development does not fit the area.
